Leading Well in Next Generation School Communities

The cautionary tales of drift within countless Christian educational communities reveal that sustaining the vision crafted by a school’s founding generation into organisational mid-life is a difficult and highly complex task. The challenge confronting next generation educational leaders is how to sustain that original vision during their cultural moment, whilst simultaneously responding innovatively, proactively and responsibly to change processes, new opportunities and ever shifting socio-cultural realities within their communities. This presentation will explore how this new generation of Christian educational leaders can lead well, as both guardians and re-imaginers of a vision that has been placed into their hands, during this critical phase of transition within Christian educational communities.
